Ohori Park, nestled in Chuo Ward of Fukuoka City, is renowned for its Japanese gardens, tea houses, and art museums, boasting a picturesque landscape. It also features a 2-kilometer promenade perfect for jogging or cycling, making it an accessible and ideal spot for a relaxing break during a family trip to Fukuoka.

At the heart of Ohori Park is a vast pond with a circumference of about 2 kilometers, originally constructed as a moat to protect a castle. An islet floats in the middle of the pond, offering a panoramic view that can be enjoyed from the bridge. It’s a scenic spot where a plethora of wild birds gather, and locals and tourists alike can be seen strolling, snapping photos, or breaking a sweat jogging.

Activities like boating are also popular in the park. For those on a family trip with children, visiting the two playgrounds within the park is highly recommended.

On the east side, “Whale Park” is full of playground equipment suitable for energetic kids to run around, while “Acorn Park” on the west side has safe play structures for younger children.
